MIDDLESEX COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — James Reid of Bloomfield, Connecticut and Brittany Cook of Waterford, Connecticut, have been identified as the victims in a Tuesday night double-fatal vehicle crash in Middlesex County.
Reid, 39, and 32-year-old Cook, were both killed in a single-vehicle crash near Haddam Tuesday night.
According to reports, Reid was operating a Honda Accord on CT-9 in Haddam, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle ran a stop sign and made contact with a rock wall around 10 p.m. Tuesday.
Reid and Cook were both pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries at the scene

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
