DOUGLAS COUNTY, WI. (THECOUNT) — Daniel Schiefelbein, of Brule, Wisconsin, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday night vehicle crash in Douglas County.
Schiefelbein, 24, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Maple Thursday night.
According to reports, Schiefelbein was operating a vehicle on Highway 13 near Town Park Road in Maple, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 6 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle then traveled down an embankment and rolled over.
Schiefelbein was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
