DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Rachel Ruth Kaplan, of Nashville, Tennessee, has been identified as the victim of a fatal Sunday single-vehicle crash in Davidson County.
Kaplan, who recently relocated to Nashville from Florida, was killed in a fatal single-vehicle crash near Nashville early Sunday morning.
According to reports, Kaplan was operating a Dodge Challenger on East Thompson Lane near Wimpole Drive in Nashville, when for unknown reasons, possible speed related, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. The vehicle then made contact with a brick wall.
Kaplan was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
