SUFFOLK COUNTY, MA. (THECOUNT) — Carrie Lynn O’Connor, of Williamsburg, Virginia, has been identified as the victim in a Monday Suffolk County, Massachusetts freak elevator accident.
O’Connor, 38, died after the elevator in her Boston flat suddenly plummeted to the ground.
O’Connor, who had just recently moved into the Packard’s Corner Apartments, reportedly was trying to load a box into the elevator when it suddenly dropped between floors, according to local reports.
State regulators said the elevator, located at, 1110 Brookline Ave in Boston, had recently been inspected and certified.
According to reports, O’Connor was a French lecturer at Boston University.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
