COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Sabrina Nicole Troy, of Elizabethtown, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a Monday vehicle crash in Columbus County.
Troy, 20, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Lake Waccamaw Monday afternoon.
According to reports, Troy was operating a vehicle on Chauncey Town Road in Lake Waccamaw, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 3:30 p.m. Monday. The vehicle then entered a culvert and rolled over near U.S. 74/76.
Troy died following the crash.
She was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
