LEE COUNTY, IA. (THECOUNT) — Michael Brayton Jr., of Davenport, Iowa, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle crash Thursday night in Lee County.
Brayton, 50, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Donnellson Thursday night.
According to reports, Brayton was operating a pickup truck on IA-27 in Lee County, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle came into contact with the rear of another vehicle, operated by Taylor Fields, 20, of Fulton, Missouri, around 6 p.m. Thursday. The vehicle then crossed centerlines, exited the roadway and rolled over.
It is unknown if Fields suffered any injuries in the collision.
Brayton was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
