MIDLAND COUNTY, MI. (THECOUNT) — Dorothy Granger, of Lake City, Michigan, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday afternoon fatal plane crash that also seriously injured her husband.
Granger, 64, was killed in a small plane crash in Mills Township on Tuesday afternoon. Her husband was critically injured in the crash.
According to reports, William Granger, also 64, was piloting a 1959 Piper PA 24-250 Comanche aircraft, when for unknown reasons, the plane went down in the area of East Shaffer Road and North Sturgeon Road in Midland around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday.
William was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
Dorothy was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The crash is being investigated by the FAA.
