MIDDLESEX COUNTY, CT. (THECOUNT) — Victor Ioanid Moraru, of Meriden, Connecticut, has been identified as the victim in an overnight fatal vehicle crash in Middlesex County.
Moraru, 20, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Middletown Sunday night.

According to reports, Moraru was operating a Honda Accord on Interstate 91 in Middletown, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around midnight. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree.
Moraru was pronounced dead on the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of th crash remains under investigation.
