CHEROKEE COUNTY, OK. (THECOUNT) — Jodi Sallas, of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash in Cherokee County Wednesday morning.
Sallas, 34, was killed in an early Wednesday morning single-vehicle crash near Hulbert.
According to reports, Sallas was operating a Mercury Grand Marquis on South 410 Road near West 790 Road in Hulbert, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crosse centerlines and exited the roadway around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday. The vehicle then came into contact with a substantial tree.
Sallas was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
