BEXAR COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Madison O’Neil, of Cibolo, Texas and Taina Rivera, of Schertz, Texas, have been identified as the victims in a Friday two-vehicle crash in Bexar County.
O’Neil, 19, and 17-year-old Rivera, were both killed Friday in a two-vehicle crash near Schertz.
According to reports, O’Neil was operating a Nissan Altima with Rivera as her passenger on FM3009 near Webster Drive in Schertz, when the vehicle came into contact with a Jeep Cherokee, operated by 17-year-old Thomas Wentworth of San Antonio, around 1 a.m. Friday.
O’Neil was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Rivera was transported to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead of blunt force injuries.
Wentworth was treated at the scene and released.
No one was cited at the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
