FAIRFAX COUNTY, VA. (THECOUNT) — Robert Bloom, a public safety systems administrator in the Alexandria, Virginia Department of Emergency and Customer Communications, has been identified as the victim in a Monday morning vehicle crash in Fairfax County.
Bloom, 61, was killed Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash near Huntington.
According to reports, Bloom was operating a vehicle on N Kings Hwy in Huntington, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle wrecked around 9:30 a.m. Monday.
Bloom was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
A second vehicle was struck by debris from the initial crash. That driver was not injured.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
