PEORIA COUNTY, IL. (THECOUNT) — Caleb J Mccracken Jr., of Peoria, Illinois, has been identified as the victim in a fatal overnight double-shooting in Peoria County.
Mccracken, 30, was fatally shot near South Peoria early Saturday morning.
According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired in the 2500 block of West Seibold Street around 1:30 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived, police discovered Mccracken and another male suffering from at least one gunshot injury.
Mccracken was transported to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot wounds.
The other man was also transported with life threatening injuries.
The cause of the shooting remains under investigation.
