MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Vontairius Doster of Charlotte, North Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Monday morning shooting in Mecklenburg County.
Doster, 16, was shot and killed near Charlotte early Monday morning.
According to reports, Doster was found suffering from at least one wound at the Southside Homes apartment complex in the 3400 block of Griffith Street around 2 a.m. Monday.
Doster was transported to an area hospital by private vehicle where he was later pronounced dead of gunshot injuries.
No motive or suspect information was provided by officials.
Anyone with possible information on the deadly incident should contact police at 911.
The shooting remains under investigation.
