RUTLAND COUNTY, VT. (THECOUNT) — Kianna Peters of Ludlow, Vermont, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle crash in Rutland County Thursday morning.
Peters, 18, was killed in an early Thursday vehicle crash that also injured three other individuals near Proctor.
According to reports, Peters was traveling as a passenger in a vehicle along with three other people, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited West Street in Proctor around 3 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle then struck an embankment and flipped over multiple times.
The driver of the vehicle and two other passengers were transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Peters was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
