FAYETTE COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Shawna Vassar, of Washington Court House, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a Tuesday night fatal vehicle crash in Fayette County.
Vassar, 21, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Bloomingburg Tuesday night.
According to reports, Vassar was operating a Ford Focus on Main Street near Midland Avenue in Bloomingburg, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 9 p.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then sideswiped several parked vehicles before crashing into a utility pole and a substantial tree.
Vassar was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
