ST. PETERSBURG, FL. (THECOUNT) — A Pinellas County, Florida jogger, made a grisly discovery after finding a human head Tuesday morning.

The unidentified head was found on the side of a roadway in St. Petersburg by an individual exercising Tuesday morning.

According to police, a human head was found in the area of 38th Avenue South and 31st Street South in St. Petersburg Tuesday around 7 a.m.

The discovery caused police to shutter the area while they conduct their investigation.

The identification of the head was not provided by authorities.
