CALEDONIA COUNTY, VT. (THECOUNT) — Victor Edward Kasica and Deanna Jean Murphy, both of Thornton, New Hampshire, have been identified as the victims in a Saturday night double-fatal motorcycle crash in Vermont.
Kasica, 58 and Murphy, 49, both of Thornton, were killed in a single-motorcycle crash in Caledonia County near the New Hampshire border Saturday night.
According to reports, Kasica was operating a motorcycle with Murphy as his passenger on VT-18 in Waterford, when for unknown reasons, the bike crossed centerlines and exited the roadway on Saturday night. The vehicle the made contact with a guardrail.
Both occupants of the motorcycle were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
