RICHLAND COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Jason Greene-Smith, of Youngstown, Ohio, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck in Richland County overnight.
Greene-Smith, 22, was killed in a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision on Interstate 71 near Washington Township Friday night.
According to reports, Greene-Smith was on-foot in the area of I-71 in Mansfield, when he was struck by a Hyundai Sonata, operated by 54-year-old Clayton Thomas Blue, of Mansfield, just before midnight.
Greene-Smith was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
