RILEY COUNTY, KS. (THECOUNT) — Christopher Day of Leonardville, Kansas, has been identified as the pedestrian in a Friday morning hit-and-run collision in Riley County.
Chris Day, 38, was killed in a hit-and-run crash involving a big-rig near Leonardville Friday morning.
According to reports, Day was on-foot in the area of 12900 Barton Road in Leonardville, when he was struck by a passing vehicle around 4:30 a.m.
Investigators say they are searching for the hit-and-run driver.
Officials are attempting to locate the driver of a red Peterbilt semi truck and the driver of a late 90’s model white Ford Explorer.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
