ATHENS COUNTY, OH. (THECOUNT) — Byron Schoolcraft, of Trimble, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday night two-vehicle crash in Athens County.
Schoolcraft, 53, was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Glouster Thursday night.
According to reports, Schoolcraft was operating a pickup truck on Congress Run Road in Glouster, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes around 1 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle then collided with an SUV, operated by Jeff Dye.
Schoolcraft’s vehicle continued until making contact with a substantial tree and rolling over.
Schoolcraft was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Dye sustained minor injuries.
