CAPE MAY COUNTY, NJ. (THECOUNT) — Jerry Jorgensen of Cape May Court House, New Jersey, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday morning crash in Middle Township.
Jorgensen, 63, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on NJ-147 in Cape May Court House on Tuesday.
According to reports, Jorgensen was operating a vehicle hauling a hydraulic dumpster lift on NJ-147 at Massachusetts Avenue, near the Garden State Parkway overpass, when the machinery made contact with the overpass around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday. The vehicle then came to a rest after striking a structure.
Jorgensen was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
No one in the dwelling was injured in the accident.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
