MUMBAI, INDIA. (THECOUNT) — Sushant Singh Rajput, a well-known Bollywood actor, was found dead Sunday at his Mumbai residence.

Rajput, 43, was found deceased of an apparent hanging while inside his apartment in suburban Bandra.


Rajput, who started as a TV actor, made his Bollywood debut in “Kai Po Che,” was last seen in the 2019 Netflix film “Drive.”

A cause of death was not provided as of Sunday.

In late December 2019, Indian actor, Kushal Punjabi, was also found dead of an apparent hanging. He was 42.

Punjabi, who starred in shows such as Ishq Mein Marjawan and Hum Tum and the movie Salaam-e-Ishq: A Tribute to Love with Priyanka Chopra, was found hanging inside his Mumbai apartment according to local reports. In that case, police located a suicide note.

Rajput’s death remains under investigation.
