SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, CA. (THECOUNT) — A shooting has occurred early Wednesday morning at the Paso Robles Police Department building in San Luis Obispo County, California. More shots were fired in the downtown area near City Park.

Law enforcement officials say they are responding to an “active and moving” crime scene in the city of Paso Robles Wednesday morning after shots were fired.

According to reports, police responded to a call of shots fired at the Paso Robles Police Department, located at, 900 Park St in Paso Robles, around 3:15 Wednesday morning.

Authorities confirmed that more shots rang out in the downtown area near City Park.

The gunman has not been apprehended.

No motive or suspect information was provided by officials as of 6 a.m.

SWAT teams and helicopters were seen converging on the area.
