POLK COUNTY, FL. (THECOUNT) — Henry Blaut, residing in Davenport, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle crash in Polk County.
Blaut, 79, was killed close to his home in a two-vehicle crash in Davenport Wednesday morning.
According to reports, Blaut was operating a Chevrolet SUV on Sanders Road near US-27, when a Cadillac Escalade operated by Princess Strother, 37, of Davenport, came into contact with the driver side door on US-27 around 9 a.m. Wednesday.
Strother was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Blaut was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash of blunt force trauma injuries.
It is unclear if anyone was cited or if any charges are pending in the crash.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
