GENESEE COUNTY, MI. (THECOUNT) — Lexi Simon has been identified as the teenage victim in a fatal jet ski accident in Genesee County, Michigan Sunday.
Simon, 17, was jet skiing on Lake Fenton Sunday afternoon when she was fatally struck by another jet ski.
According to reports, Simon was operating a jet ski on Lake Fenton, when the watercraft was stuck from the rear by another jet ski.
Sources say Simon’s 17-year-old boyfriend was operating the watercraft that struck her.
Witnesses at the scene say, Simon slowed down after a tuber went in the water, when she was tragically struck from behind Sunday afternoon on the the north end of the lake.
The boyfriend attempted to administer life-saving measures but they were unsuccessful.
The cause of the deadly incident remains under investigation.
