CARSON CITY, NV. (THECOUNT) — A magnitude 6.4 earthquake, centered in Tonopah Nevada, was felt as far away as Carson City to Las Vegas and surrounding areas Friday morning.

The shaker, which struck about 120 miles from South Lake Tahoe, shook some people out of bed and was felt in communities as far away as Carson City, Las Vegas and Reno.
