SMITH COUNTY, TX. (THECOUNT) — Christian Steel Gilstrap, of Tyler, Texas, has been identified as the pedestrian in a fatal Monday night vehicle strike in Smith County.
Gilstrap, 22, was killed after being struck by a vehicle near Tyler on Monday night.
According to reports, Gilstrap was on-foot attempting to cross the street in the area of the 1900 block of W Gentry Parkway, in Tyler, when he was struck by a passing vehicle around 10 p.m. Monday.
Gilstrap was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the fatal incident remains under investigation.
