RAPIDES PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Valerie Franklin of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Willmore Baylor of Shreveport, Louisiana, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal crash in Rapides Parish Monday morning.
Franklin, 28, and Baylor, 26, were both killed in a single-vehicle crash near Alexandria on Monday morning.
According to reports, Baylor was operating a GMC Envoy on Interstate 49, near Alexandria, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle then made contact with a grouping of trees.
Both occupants of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
