TICKFAW, LA. (THECOUNT) — Eunique Ebbs and Shaique Andrews, both of New Orleans, Louisiana, have been identified as the victims in a double-fatal crash on Interstate 55 in Tangipahoa Parish Saturday morning.
Ebbs, 45, and 23-year-old Andrews, were killed in a two-vehicle crash near Tickfaw on Saturday morning.
According to reports, Ebbs was operating a vehicle on I-55, when the vehicle came into contact with a GMC Sierra pickup truck traveling in the same direction. The passenger vehicle then exited the roadway before making contact with a substantial tree near LA 442 around 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
Ebbs and Andrews were transported to area hospitals where they were pronounced dead of blunt force trauma injuries.
The driver of the pickup was uninjured in the crash.
Ebbs was wearing a seatbelt. Andrews was not, according to a crash report.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
