McMINN COUNTY, TN. (THECOUNT) — Larry Dean Wallace, of Athens, Tennessee, has been identified as the victim in a fatal single-vehicle crash Tuesday in McMinn County.
Wallace, 55, was killed in a truck crash near Athens on Tuesday.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Wallace was operating a truck County Road 750, aka, Piney Grove Rd, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway. The vehicle than made contact with a substantial tree around 8 a.m. Tuesday.
Wallace, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
