SALT LAKE CITY, UT. (THECOUNT) — Dillon Chase Ashy, of Alpine, Utah, has been identified as the victim in a two-vehicle collision in Salt Lake City on Saturday afternoon.
Ashy, 25, was killed in a high-speed vehicle crash in South Salt Lake on Saturday.
According to police, Ashy was operating an Aston Martin at a high rate of speed, when he lost control of the vehicle and exited the roadway around 12 p.m. Saturday. The vehicle then made contact with a concrete barrier before colliding with another vehicle on UT-201 near 900 West in South Salt Lake.
Ashy, who was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Investigators noted that they do not believe drugs or alcohol were a contributing factor in the crash.
According to records, Ashy was the owner of Auto Group Gang.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
