MONROE COUNTY, MO. (THECOUNT) — Derriun Taylor of Perryville, Missouri, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Monroe County, Georgia 18-wheeler crash Saturday morning.
Taylor, 49, was killed in a tractor-trailer rollover crash on Interstate 75 near Jackson in Saturday morning.
According to reports, Taylor was operating a big-rig on I-75, when for unknown reasons, the truck crossed centerlines and exited the roadway near High Falls Road in Jackson. The vehicle then traveled down an embankment and rolled over around 5 a.m. Saturday.
Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
