DAWSON COUNTY, GA. (THECOUNT) — Tyler Daniel Fried, of Gainesville, Georgia, has been identified as the victim in a fatal vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Dawson County.
Fried, 33, was killed Tuesday morning when a Ford Focus he was operating collided with a Dodge Ram on Georgia Highway 53 in Dawsonville Tuesday morning.
According to officials, James White, 41, of Dawsonville, was operating a Dodge Ram on GA-53, when for unknown reasons, he crossed centerlines and into opposing lanes. The vehicle then came into contact with Fried’s Focus head-on around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The force of the crash caused the Dodge Ram to rollover.
White was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Fried was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
The Georgia State Patrol is expected to file charges against White.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
