KOOTENAI COUNTY, ID. (THECOUNT) — Dalton Felts of Athol, Idaho, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday evening crash in Kootenai County.
Felts, 20, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Athol Wednesday evening.
According to officials, Angel M. Thomas, 24, of Hayden and Felts, were traveling in a Mazda Millenia on I-95 near Athol, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 5:30 Wednesday. The vehicle then entered a culvert causing it to rollover multiple times.
Both occupants were ejected during the crash.
Thomas was transported to an area hospital in unknown condition.
Felts was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma.
Neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
