BOGALUSA, LA. (THECOUNT) — Wade Gilson, of Odessa, Texas, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Louisiana motorcycle collision Tuesday morning.
Gilson, 47, was killed when the motorcycle he was traveling on was involved in a multi-vehicle crash Tuesday morning.
According to the Louisiana State Police, Gilson was operating a Harley Davidson on LA-21 in Bogalusa, Washington Parish, Tuesday morning, when 22-year-old Alexandra Dunaway, who was operating a Nissan Altima, attempted to perform a left turn off Pools Bluff Road.
Police say Dunaway ran a stop sign while making the turn, and as she entered LA 21, she struck Gilson.
Gilson was then struck by a third vehicle, a Honda Accord.
Gilson was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma injuries.
Dunaway suffered minor injuries in the collision.
Police say Dunaway was issued a citation for disregarding a stop sign, reports WBRZ.
The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
