COLEBROOK, NH. (THECOUNT) — Joseph King, Wentworth New Hampshire, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday morning snowmobile crash in Colebrook.
Joe King, 44, was killed in a snowmobile rollover crash Saturday morning in Colebrook.
According to authorities, officials were called to the Balsams Trail shortly before 11 a.m. on reports of a snowmobile crash. When first responders arrived they determined, King was operating a snowmobile with a companion when the companion lost sight of him. The companion later came upon him unresponsive on the trail beside his wrecked snowmobile.
CPR was performed but he succumbed to his injuries suffered in the crash.
King was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe speed too great for the existing icy trail conditions was the primary factor in the crash, reports WMUR.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
