MEBANE, NC. (THECOUNT) — Jonathan Jacobs, of Mebane, North Carolina, has been identified as the man found dead in the home of Kandie Stec on Sunday morning, according to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office.

Jacobs, 35, was found unresponsive in the Mebane home of 50-year-old Stec on Sunday morning.

According to officials, deputies responded to a report of a person in cardiac arrest at 2219 Bordeaux Drive in Mebane.7:43 a.m. Sunday. When first responders arrived, Jacobs was found deceased of an apparent heroin overdose.

Stec was later charged with felony obstruction of justice, felony destruction of criminal evidence and selling and delivering a schedule I controlled substance.

Investigators believe Stec provided Jacobs heroin, then attempted to destroy the evidence and lie to investigators.

Stec was booked into the Alamance County jail under a $75,000 secured bond, reports MyFox8.

According to Facebook, Jacobs was a lineman in training at Piedmont Electric Membership Corporation.
