AIKEN COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Chanel Sherman, of Leesville, South Carolina, has been identified as the pedestrian fatally struck by a vehicle in Aiken Friday night
Sherman, 34, was killed after she was struck by a vehicle Friday night while on-foot in Aiken.
According to reports, Sherman was struck and killed by a vehicle while on-foot in the area of May Royal Drive and Columbia Hwy in Aiken County Friday night.
Sherman was walking in the middle of Columbia Highway North in Aiken when she was struck and killed by a truck.
Sherman was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
It is unclear if anyone was cited at the scene.
South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the fatal incident.
