IN Woman Taylor Cole & Leah Dunn ID’d As Victims In Saturday Night Clarksville Wrong-Way Crash

JEFFERSONVILLE, IN. (THECOUNT) — Taylor Danielle Cole and Leah Renee Onstott Dunn have been identified as the victims in a Saturday night crash in Jeffersonville, Ind. A child also died in the crash.

Cole, 21, and Dunn, 22, were both killed along with Dunn’s young son, in a crash occurring Saturday night in Clarksville.

According to reports, Cole, of Marengo, was operating a vehicle with passengers, 22-year-old Dunn and two children, when a wrong-way driver, identified as 31-year-old Taylor Barefoot, of Louisville, struck their vehicle head-on on Interstate 265 Saturday night.

Two children occupied the backseat. One was pronounced dead at an area hospital. The other child remains hospitalized in unknown condition.

Cole was pronounced dead on the scene. Dunn was transported to an area hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Taylor remains hospitalized in serious condition.

ISP’s preliminary investigation reveals that the KIA Sportage, driven by 31-year-old Taylor Barefoot, of Louisville, was in the left-hand lane, traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes at the time of the crash. Barefoot was airlifted to University Hospital in Louisville with severe injuries, reports WHAS.

Investigators believe alcohol played a factor in this crash. The crash and possible criminal investigation are ongoing.
