BAZETTA TOWNSHIP, OH. (THECOUNT) — Justin Nehlen, of Niles, Ohio, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Bazetta Township single-vehicle crash Thursday.
Nehlen, 29, was killed in a single-vehicle crash on State Route 5 near Bazetta Township Thursday.
According to reports, Nehlen was traveling as a passenger in a Acura MDX operated by 19-year-old Roman Brown, of Greenville, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 12:15 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle then made contact with a cable median barrier before coming to a rest.
Brown was reportedly uninjured in the crash.
Nehlen was pronounced dead at the scene of blunt force trauma.
Nehlen and Brown weren’t wearing seat belts at the time of the violent crash, according to Highway Patrol.
Investigators do not suspect that drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, reports WKBN.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
