HOUSTON, TX (THECOUNT) — A 9 year-old suspect is among five people injured after a stolen car rammed into an SUV overnight in Houston, Texas.

Police say the three young suspects, believed to two teenagers and a 9-year-old, as well as the two victims in the SUV, were transported to area hospitals following a stolen car police chase in Houston Tuesday morning.

The child was one of three suspects in the stolen car, who led police on a chase down Scott Street when an officer tried to conduct a traffic stop.

The chase ended when the suspects in the stolen car made contact with an SUV near Scott Street and Zypher Street.

The crash caused severe damage to the SUV which rolled over onto its side during the violent collision.

Officials say the two people in the SUV suffered serious injuries and one of the juveniles was taken to a hospital in critical condition, reports ABC13.

The driver of the stolen car is the least seriously injured of the five and faces charges on four counts of aggravated assault evading arrest, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and endangering a child, according to Sean Teare with the Harris County District Attorney’s office.
