LOS ANGELES, CA. (THECOUNT) — Judith Susan Blum, aka, “Judge Judy” announced on Ellen that her long-running court show is coming to an end.

After 25 seasons, Sheindlin will appear on Monday’s The Ellen DeGeneres, to formally announce that the 2020-21 season of Judge Judy — the show’s 25th — will be its last.

“CBS [Television Distribution, which distributes the show] sort of felt, I think, they wanted to optimally utilize the repeats of my program,” she said. “Now they have 25 years of my reruns. What they decided to do is sell a couple of years’ worth of reruns. But I’m not tired, so Judy Justice will be coming out a year later,” reports HR on Sunday night.

It’s unclear whether this will be another syndicated program or for a network or other outlet.

Judge Judy currently tapes at the Sunset Bronson Studios on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California. In alternating weeks, Sheindlin, who owns a home in New York among other cities/states, flies out on her private jet to tape Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
