DOUGLASSVILLE, PA. (THECOUNT) — Andre Ziegler, of Pottstown, PA, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Douglassville vehicle crash early Friday morning.
Ziegler, 38, died after in a single-vehicle crash in Amity Township, Berks County, early Friday morning.
According to officials, Ziegler was operating a vehicle on Route 562 near Farmingdale Drive, in Douglassville, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1:30 a.m. Friday morning. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree before coming to a rest.
Ziegler, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
He was not wearing a seatbelt, reports WFMZ.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
