WEBSTER PARISH, LA. (THECOUNT) — Wyatt Richardson, of Shongaloo, Louisiana, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Thursday morning single-vehicle crash in Webster Parish.
Richardson, 17, was killed following a Louisiana 157 crash near Shongaloo early Thursday.
According to reports, Richardson was operating a Chevrolet pickup truck on Louisiana 157 near Hill Top Road, 4, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 1 a.m. Thursday. The vehicle then made contact with a substantial tree.
Richardson was pronounced dead of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The crash report noted the teen was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the violent crash.
A toxicology sample was obtained and submitted for analysis, reports KTBS.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
