BRADENTON, FL. (THECOUNT) — Seiji Esquivel, of Sarasota, Florida, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Wednesday night motorcycle crash in Manatee County.
Esquivel, 30, died Wednesday night following a motorcycle crash on Cortez Road in Bradenton.
According to troopers, Esquivel was operating a Yamaha motorcycle on Cortez Road at a high rate of speed around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, when an SUV performed a left hand turn in his path.
Esquivel collided with the SUV and was ejected from the bike.
Esquivel was taken to Manatee Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, reports MySunCoast.
In 2011, Esquivel, then 20, was wanted on an Immigration and Customs (ICE) hold. It is unclear if he was still outstanding at the time of the deadly crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
