DAVIDSON COUNTY, NC. (THECOUNT) — Jeffrey K Shaw has been identified as the victim in a fatal Tuesday night crash on US-64 in Davidson County.
Shaw, 54, was killed in a crash involving a Ford Pickup truck and a tractor-trailer in Lexington Tuesday night.
According to reports, Shaw was operating a Ford on US-64 near the Interstate 85 interchange, when his vehicle came into contact with a big-rig Tuesday around 7 p.m.
The tractor-trailer tried to cross over onto U.S. 64 westbound and failed to yield for a Ford truck heading west, according to troopers. That’s when the tractor-trailer and truck crashed, reports MyFox8.
Shaw was killed in the crash. No one else was reported injured.
Highway Patrol is working with the district attorney’s office to file charges against the driver of the tractor-trailer.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
