GREENVILLE COUNTY, SC. (THECOUNT) — Daniel Anthony Murray Jr. of Simpsonville, South Carolina, has been identified as the victim in a fatal Saturday night crash in Wade Hampton.
Murray, 21, was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Haywood Rd in Wade Hampton Saturday night.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Murray was operating a Ford Mustang on Haywood Rd near Howell Rd, when for unknown reasons, the vehicle crossed centerlines and exited the roadway around 11:30 p.m. Saturday. The Mustang then made contact with a group of trees before rolling over.
A passenger in the vehicle was transported to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
Murray was pronounced dead at the scene of multiple blunt force trauma injuries.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
