MIO, MI. (THECOUNT) — Lyle Troyer of Fairview, MI, has been identified as the victim in a fatal workplace accident in Comins Township, Oscoda County on Thursday.
Troyer, 59, was killed in an accident at a Mio lumberyard/sawmill involving a debarking machine on Thursday morning.
According to reports, officials responded to reports of a workplace accident on Thursday around 9:20 a.m. in the 700 block of E. Miller Road in Mio.
When deputies and Oscoda County EMS personnel arrived, Troyer was found injured in an incident involving debarking machinery.
EMS were unsuccessful in reviving Troyer and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
