CAMAS, WA. (THECOUNT) — Game over. Camas High School principal Dr. Liza Sejkora, who was forced to apologize for a post she wrote after basketball star Kobe Bryant was killed in a helicopter crash, has resigned from the school.
Sejkora, 47, who was installed at the school in 2017, resigned amid mounting public backlash on Friday.

“Not gonna lie. Seems to me that Karma caught up with a rapist today,” Sejkora wrote Jan. 26, the same day Bryant died.
It insensitive comment was in a reference to a 2003 case where Bryant was exonerated of rape charges involving a 19-year-old woman.
The Camas School District Superintendent Dr. Jeff Snell says the district will communicate with families regarding a transition plan, reports KIMA.
“This has been a tumultuous week, however, I’ve been impressed with the level of professionalism our staff members have displayed as well as the caring and compassion from our families,” Snell said.
