CHATHAM, LA. (THECOUNT) — Chris Mudd and Wade Williams both from Shreveport-Bossier, and the plane’s pilot as Robert Gilliam of Minden, have been identified as the three men killed in a small plane crash Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
Officials say. the doomed aircraft was traveling from Jackson, Mississippi, to Shreveport in northwest Louisiana when it went down for unknown reasons north of Chatham off of Louisiana Highway 34.
The Monroe Regional Airport tower lost contact with the plane around 2:10 p.m. The plane was a four-passenger single-engine Cessna, reports MankatoFreePress.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
